Research and Innovation
The research and innovation programmes of the Climate-KiC form the very heart of the Climate-KIC. They bring researchers from academia and private partners, entrepreneurs, staff from companies and public institutes and students together. Intensive interaction facilitates and promotes co-creation processes in which new applications for existing knowledge and avenues for new knowledge development and business creation arise.
Four focus programmes have been identified:
- Assessing climate change and managing its drivers
- Transitioning to resilient, low-carbon cities
- Adaptive water management
- Zero carbon production systems
Each programme will link education and innovation with ongoing research.
